WA is like the 2nd hardest state to get into a nursing program in. That being said, I met with the dean of Nursing at Everett last week and he said to me, "ok, so I see you've got this C+ but it's totally out of character compared to your other grades. considering your volunteer work at the hospital, your nonprofit organization that deals with medical stuff, your type A personality and your previous medical experience in the military, I don't know why in the world we didn't let you in. Let me make a few phone calls". So, I'm NOT holding my breath, but it's still not completely out of the realm of possibility at this point I guess. I didn't even go meet with him for that. I met with him to have him sign off on my curriculum guide so my (insert adjective here) financial aid office would give me some money LOLJuliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17624796758091842865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-440844539330876348.post-80226989830587687792011-03-18T15:38:33.347-07:002011-03-18T15:38:33.347-07:00Hey Julie, I am so sorry that you did not get into...Hey Julie, I am so sorry that you did not get into the nursing program. As resourceful as you are, I am sure you have tried all your options. Did you ever try a two year degree school, that is where I started off, and then go on for your BSN? I would not give up on your dream of being a nurse. You will be amazing at it. Just amazing. I know the program is tough to get into, I remember so well the sleepless nights of wondering if I was going to get in.

Julie, you are one of the most determined people I know, if you have peace about not being a nurse, I support that, but if it is still your hearts desire, keep moving forward, take more classes, take or do anything, Try online courses....

If you have peace, I wish you success. I can't imagine how hard it is to try to manage with the three kids. I hope you have good family support.

Hang in there. God knows what he is doing

JenniferAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
